Provide bags/gloves and guide everyone to pick plastic or fabric scraps from a prepared pile (or nearby market/street if safe).Sort by colour/type (bottles, wrappers, fabric, etc.).
Wash or wipe plastics, cut away labels or sharp edges.Flatten, cut, or shred materials to desired size.
Demonstrate 2–3 easy upcycling techniques (e.g., weaving, fusing with iron under baking paper, sewing, braiding).Let participants design and create bags, wallets, keychains, or décor.
Trim edges, add straps, buttons, or decorations.Encourage creativity — each piece should be unique.
Quick “show & tell”: participants present their creations.Group photo, thank-you, and tips for continuing upcycling at home.
